“With Bardioc, clients gain strategic advantage where others still struggle with fragmented insights,” says Christian Sauter, CEO.
For over two decades, Almato has pioneered digital innovation, expertly transforming intricate business processes into seamless digital operations for leading enterprises and public sector organisations.
Clients benefit from its deep expertise and decades of experience in delivering complex digitalisation projects. It enables them to shift from reactive operations to proactive value creation without the long delays typical of enterprise transformation.
Almato is a leading provider of a semantic data platform that powers data-driven business models and advanced AI applications. It also offers a unique reasoning engine for agentic AI.
Turning Complexity into Clarity
Bardioc introduces a new way of creating value and actions from data: semantically structured, instantly usable and built to evolve. At its core is an AI reasoning engine that applies human logic to draw inferences and make informed decisions. Each stage is transparent and auditable, embedding compliance, documentation and accountability.
The platform’s ontology-first architecture treats data as knowledge, ready for reuse across the enterprise. A single semantic layer connects and contextualises information from diverse systems, removing the need for repeated extraction and transformation. Once a dataset is linked to this layer, it becomes available for new use cases, AI models and operational systems without additional integration. Insights generated in one department enrich the entire organisation’s knowledge base, enabling faster and more accurate decisions across all functions while reducing IT overhead.
The platform offers full support for domain-specific languages (DSLs), enables organizations to extend or evolve their ontologies at any time, and provides built-in processes to ensure continuous semantic development. Leveraging the semantic layer, it organises decision logic into modular knowledge items and links them across systems for robust, context-aware automation.
The platform is inherently scalable, demonstrated in deployments exceeding 100 petabytes. Automatic sharding and partitioning sustain performance without manual tuning, and self-optimising resource allocation adapts to workload demands. Full historisation ensures powerful analytics and native compliance in regulated industries, with immutable audit trails and cost-efficient, tiered storage managed automatically.
Unlike conventional platforms that require long implementation phases, Bardioc rapidly delivers value while fitting seamlessly into current operations. It overlays existing data lakes, systems and architectures to provide actionable intelligence within weeks. The fully data-agnostic platform works effectively with incomplete, inconsistent or legacy datasets. The ontology-driven setup and built-in reasoning capabilities quickly generate relevant, auditable insights that effortlessly integrate into existing workflows.

Security is embedded from the outset. Built-in encryption at rest and in transit, record-level access controls and token-based security ensure the highest standards for protecting sensitive data. Unlike black box AI models, Bardioc delivers transparency by design. All its conclusions are based on clear logic, making trust a core feature for users.
Proven Impact in High-Stakes, Regulated Environments
The ability to combine compliance with performance makes Bardioc particularly valuable in mission-critical sectors such as government, healthcare, finance and critical infrastructure. Its speed is matched by a commitment to documenting and verifying every action.
Almato works with over 100 enterprise and public sector clients, including Deutsche Telekom, the German government and grocery chain Lidl. The company’s guiding principle, ‘The Semantic Intelligence Revolution,’ is more than a slogan; it reflects a dedication to turning even the most complex processes into seamless digital operations.
Its partner delivery model is structured around three complementary roles. Technology Partners integrate the platform into their solutions, expanding functional reach for customers. Consulting Partners introduce the platform into organizations through strategic transformation and advisory projects, ensuring long-term relevance and adoption. Implementation Partners execute initiatives originating from other partners, but also work directly with their customer base, covering collaborative and direct customer engagements.
In one instance, a German Federal Ministry leveraged Bardioc to transform political discourse analysis. Analysts previously relied on thousands of plenary protocol pages to track argument flow, identify speaker roles and detect position shifts over time. Existing tools lacked semantic depth, required hours of manual reading and failed to reveal deeper patterns.
Transparency was another challenge. While LLMs could generate quick answers, they lacked reliable sourcing and logical reasoning, making them unsuitable for high-stakes policy decision-making.
Bardioc’s semantic retrieval-augmented generation (sRAG) system addressed these issues by combining semantic graph structures with generative AI. It enabled the automatic evaluation of political discourse, promptly producing contextspecific answers. Each response was logically derived, linked to the original source and tailored to the query.
The impact was measurable—a 91 percent improvement in answer quality. Work that once took days was completed in minutes. In benchmark testing, Bardioc’s sRAG outperformed classic RAG systems and leading foundation models across all evaluation metrics, including accuracy, contextuality, argumentation, explainability, knowledge management and source density.
“What used to take days of research, we now achieve in minutes—because Bardioc doesn’t just store content, it understands and connects it. And more than that: we can now uncover insights that were simply inaccessible before,” says Mark Müller, senior manager AI.
Through Bardioc, Almato aims to help enterprises move from passive analytics to intelligent infrastructure, shifting from dashboards that describe the past to systems that actively shape the future. The focus is on empowering organisations to make logical decisions, supported by verifiable evidence and executed quickly.
Information is turned into a renewable resource that gains value with each use. By combining semantic precision, humandriven reasoning and embedded compliance, the platform gives organisations a reliable way to act quickly and confidently. For Almato’s clients, this means consistent outcomes in high-stakes environments and assurance that every decision is traceable.
Thanks to Bardioc, enterprise intelligence is no longer constrained by silos, outdated systems or opaque AI. Almato equips organisations to move from managing complexity to mastering it, using their data to respond to the present and shape the future with clarity and purpose.
